The Dr. Scholl’s brand was founded in 1906 by podiatrist William Scholl in Chicago, Illinois. In 1968, Dr. Scholl passed away and the company was bought by Schering-Plough under Merck & Co. Then in 1971 the brand entered the Fortune 500 and was bought by SSL International (British-company) in 1984.
Dr. Scholls shoes have a memory-fit footbed, which is a full-length cushion that adjusts to your every step. This cradles the heel and supports the arch of the feet. The dri-lex lining creates a moisture-wicking, abrasion-resistant and bacteria-resistant environment in the shoes. Dr. Scholls shoes also consist Aegis Microbe Shield, which is a special lining with a hydrophobic nylon cover that has anti-bacterial and anti-odor implanted in it.
