Englin’s Fine Footwear is a family-owned local business in Indiana that has been providing our friends and neighbors with the highest quality shoes for more than sixty years. Our corporation was founded as Mosser’s Shoes, Inc. by C. E. Mosser, John W. Mosser, and Robert C. Englin in October 1954, with our first store serving Kokomo, IN. We soon adopted the name “Englin’s Fine Footwear,” a choice we feel embodies the quality of our merchandise and the friendly professionalism of our staff.
In accordance with Robert C. Englin’s vision of establishing a presence in shopping centers, Englin’s gradually expanded from leased departments into the Kokomo Mall in 1964 (now defunct) and Markland Mall (Kokomo) in 1969. Englin’s opened its third location in Tippecanoe Mall (Lafayette) in 1973 along with Naturalizer Castleton, which became our Castleton Square Mall Englin’s store in 2010. Mosser Florsheim Shoes (our men's specialty location) was opened in Lafayette in 1985, and our fourth Englin’s location was opened in the Fashion Mall at Keystone (Indianapolis) in 1989. Our most recent expansion is Englin’s Shoe Rack, which opened at Hamilton Town Center (Noblesville) in September 2016. Englin's Shoe Rack is an exciting new hybrid between a discount rack store and the quality Englin’s experience with which Indiana consumers are familiar. For more information about our brick-and-mortar stores, including contact info and mall maps, check out our Locations page.
Our current Chairman of the Board, Robert G. Englin, joined the company in 1973 and established our Englin’s location at Castleton Square in Indianapolis. These days, in addition to the wide selection and stellar customer service in our brick-and-mortar stores, we offer the convenience of online shopping through our website, EnglinsFineFootwear.com. Both our Castleton Square location and our increasingly popular web store are guided by Rob’s expertise. He also oversees third-party selling, merchandising, and fulfillment center operations, and is devoted to ensuring overall customer satisfaction.
Tom W. Mosser has been with the company since 1978 and is currently the President of Mosser’s Shoes, Inc. Tom supervises our locations in Markland Mall, Tippecanoe Mall, and the Fashion Mall at Keystone. He also oversees Merchandising & Operations and is proud to be surrounded by many other talented people that help the corporation to continue to grow. Tom’s son, Robert Mosser, represents the latest generation of Mosser shoe expertise and currently serves as our Vice President.
Englin’s Fine Footwear has been family owned since we opened our doors in 1954, with Robert Mosser representing four generations in the shoe industry. We are just as committed to creating a warm and welcoming environment with outstanding customer service today as we were then. With the brands you love, knowledge you can trust, and a level of service you’ll find nowhere else, Englin’s Fine Footwear is proud to offer a one-of-a-kind shopping experience.
