Do you charge tax?

We only charge tax to Indiana and Illinois. For orders placed from other US states, there is no sales tax charged. For orders placed outside the United States, your country may assess additional customs, duties, or other import taxes. We do not have information on what these charges will be and it's up to you to check with your local post office or taxing authority for information.

Is shipping free?

We offer FREE Economy Shipping to the contiguous 48 United States for orders totaling $59.95 after discounts are applied and before sales tax is added.

Has your shipping policy changed?

Yes. Packages will now be shipped for free by one of our economy shipping options. The change allows us to offer products that were not cost effective to ship under our old policy (shoe care items, children's shoes, etc.). See our blog post about the change for more details about why we've adopted this new policy. We're excited to be able to bring you more products and maintain our standard of service!

I'm having my order shipped internationally. Will you mark the items as gifts or a value of $0 on the customs forms?

We're sorry, but we will only list the full retail value of all items we ship on the customs forms. To do otherwise is a form of customs fraud. Englin's Fine Footwear complies with all postal service regulations regarding the international shipment of packages. Please consider the cost of additional taxes and duties assessed by your country as part of the item price when placing your order.

Is everything you show on your website really in stock?

While we strive to keep our online inventory up to date, this isn't currently an automated process. Due to our products being listed for sale in many locations, it often happens that an item will sell in multiple locations at the same time. Additionally, we will also list inventory that manufacturers have in stock as part of our in-stock inventory. We do this for brands such as Dansko. Typically, we can get these items from the manufacturer and ship them to you in less than 5 business days. As a result, expedited shipping isn't always available on products from these brands. Regardless of the situation, you will always be notified via email as to the status of your order, where your items are coming from, and how long it will take for them to ship to you. If we have to allocate your order from the manufacturer and you are unable to wait for the additional ship time, you are always welcome to cancel your order at any time for a full refund.
